November TopBox

Oh my, I have been crazy busy lately. I finally got a job and then 3 more! lol I had to quit the original hire. So now I'm down to 3 jobs but only for the month of December. In the new year I should have just 2 part-time jobs. It's the end of the semester (exams start in 2 weeks! :$) as well as sales/ time to go shopping for Christmas gifts time. I definitly have a lot on my plate but I'm kind of excited about it, call me crazy.

Anyway, my November Topbox finally arrived on Tuesday, a day later than Canada Post anticipated, to be expected though. I was pleasantly surprised with this box and this time I didn't cheat and look up others reviews, I kinda like it this way :)

October GlossyBox 2012

Got my GlossyBox yesterday. Even though I was home all day on Wednesday the Canada Post guy decided not to bother buzzing (I live in an apartment) and I got a notice card in the mail yesterday (Thursday) and had to go pick it up. Annoying? :S Anyways, this month's (well actually last months) GlossyBox was suppose to be a special edition break cancer awareness box. Well I can say I got that theme from this box. Nevertheless I'm not disappointed with this months box, just a little confused why they bothered saying it was breast cancer awareness themed. Let's see what I got :)

TopBox October 2012

Hi All,

I finally received my very first TopBox today, a day late thanks to Canada Post (oh well). I signed up in the beginning of July and have been on the wait-list all this time. If you have been on the wait-list for a long time, make sure you have submitted your payment information, I'm pretty sure this moves people ahead. All of this waiting I think made me really excited for this box and also created high expectations for it, which may not have been a good thing.

I like the packaging and the size of the box, as it fits into my mailbox, unlike GlossyBox. When I open the box a Lush-like scent rushes out and I'm looking at a purple scrunched tissue. lol :) Let's see what I got:

JewelMint

Hi all!

I follow several beauty gurus on Youtube and many of them have been talking about JewelMint. For those who are unfamiliar, JewelMint is basically a beauty box monthly subscription where you get a piece of jewelry of your choice. It is based out of US but they ship to Canada (with a catch, see below).

Be fine Skin Care review from August GlossyBox

I got this little box of 5 samples in my August Glossybox and I got really excited about these samples. The pictures and claims on the box made me think this was an all natural product, maybe an alternative to 100% Pure. I soon figured out that it was not so. Here are the details:

Spinach Dip Recipe from Kel

I LOVE spinach dip, with sour dough bread, yum! We often had pot lucks at work and one woman often brought home made spinach dip. It's amazing! and here is the recipe:

Spinach Dip
  • 2 pkgs frozen chopped spinach
  • 500ml sour cream
  • less than 500 ml best foods mayonnaise
  • 1 can water chestnuts (chopped)
  • 1 pkg Knorr veggie soup mix

Microwave the spinach to defrost and slightly cook. In a bowl mix sour cream, water chestnuts and veggie soup mix. Use the 500ml sour cream container to measure out the mayonnaise. I fill it to about an inch below the rim. You can always add more to taste. Add the mayonnaise and drained spinach. Stir really well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours so the soup mix can soften. Taste and adjust mayo if needed.

Thanks Kel!!! <3

Hello World!

Welcome to my blog! I'm a new kid on the blogging block. I'm not much of a writer but I'll do my best (this thing has spellcheck right? lol). There are a lot of thoughts in my head that keep me up at night, so I decided to create a blog and a YouTube channel and let the thoughts out (ha!). There isn't a specific topic I plan on blogging about but it's going to be a lot of makeup, beauty, and other life related stuff, as well as pin ups of some funny circulated emails. I am new at this so please don't judge and friendly tips are welcome :)

Till next time!
;)
